A program to allow
remote support of your PC by geoff. This is a zipped file containing the program TeamViewerQS.exe. Before you can use it, you must download the zipped file to your PC, and extract the program it contains. Follow these steps: (a) right click on the file name, and then click on 'Save' to download the file to your PC. You may save the file into any folder on your PC - but you must take note which folder you save it into. (b) Once downloaded, use file explorer to go to the folder where you saved the file, and double-click on it. (c) A new window will open showing the contents - TeamViewerQS.exe (d) Click on the icon entitled "Extract" (e) A new window will open allowing you to choose which folder to extract the program to. Click on "Desktop" and then click on "Extract". If you have done everything correctly, you will now see a new icon on your desktop called "TeamViewerQS.exe". (f) Go to the desktop (or wherever you saved the program) and double-click on the icon (or the program name) (g) A new window will open - wait just a minute or so, and a set of numbers will be displayed in the ID and Password boxes. (h) Tell Geoff you are ready - and tell him the ID and password when he asks. |

for GIMP - a photo editing application similar to
photoshop. This is a zipped file containing the manual. Before you can use it, you must download the zipped file to your PC, and extract the program it contains. (a) right-click on the file name, and then click on 'Save' to download the file to your PC. You may save the file into any folder on your PC - but you must take note which folder you save it into. (b) Once unzipped, you will see the following directory structur: - html -en ...all the files are contained in the 'en' folder. Locate the file index.html and double click on it. This will open the help index in your web browser. |

The way it works: If user-1 requires remote assistance from user-2 then: (a) user-1 downloads the client appropriate to their machine (linux, windows, mac) (b) user-1 starts the appropriate DWagent on their computer. This will generate a window with a user name and password (c) user-1 sends the user name and password to user-2 by phone or text User-2 opens a browser, navigates to https://www.dwservice.net/en/login.html and logs in using the credentials supplied by user-1 User-2 can now has access to user-1 machine. |
