The Walled City
The entire old city is surrounded by these huge walls - all still in
excellent condition, including around 13 different gates.
..and then
there is just some charming "old world" structures..including the
famous (apparently)
"Bridge at Avignon".
In addition
to the walls, it sits in the curve of the river (almost) an island,
with fortifications at strategic points.
